Job description
Disney English assist in instructing children ages 2-12 at our Language Learning Centers throughout China. Senior Learning Partners will use an innovative and immersive Disney program, leveraging Disney's beloved characters, stories, songs, animation and other materials, to provide a highly engaging and effective premium learning experience.

Responsibilities
Academic Delivery & Business Responsibilities
Understand the center business objectives
Become proficient in delivering the Disney English interactive content and comprehensive classroom delivery of Disney English
Follow prepared content and lesson plans consistent with Disney English Language Learning, with the ability to use developmentally appropriate teaching practices to enhance each lesson
Use a variety of multimedia including Interactive White Board and interactive content/educational software, audio recording systems, and manipulate various computer systems
Work with Foreign Trainers to ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end as scheduled
Prepare, prior to the start of each class, and be able to effectively use lessons, realia, print materials, technology and supplemental materials
Prepare and assist Clubhouse Activities before classes with educational value
Deliver a variety of English Language Learning events as scheduled by the Language Learning Director, including but not limited to Demos, Referral Events, Center Events, Make Up Classes, Parent Seminars and New Parent Orientation Meetings
Deliver both formal and informal assessments and progress reports throughout the program and keep close oversight on all learner records
Lead remedial classes for low scoring learners on assessments, to customize the lesson to their needs in order to support their learning needs
Provide training support and classroom delivery guidance to Learning Partners including auditing classes of other trainers, and providing Parent Care Training
Work closely with the Language Learning Director to support the needs of the trainers.
Maintain high quality of academic delivery in his/her own classes and assist the Language Learning Director in ensuring consistently high standards throughout the center.
Continuously assess and find ways to improve the performance of learners as they advance through his/her lessons.
Deliver up to 6 hours per week of ongoing, regularly scheduled classes and substitute when needed for absent trainers.
Accurately place learners in the Disney English program by delivering Placement Assessments in conjunction with a Foreign Trainer or Language Learning Director.
Check each learner's homework during class time each week and make corrections as needed.
Provide coverage for classes in times of trainer sickness or absence.
Attend weekly meetings with the Language Learning Director to communicate all pertinent student and classroom management issues.
Provide excellent classroom management, in terms of child care and dealing with emergencies and/or unforeseen circumstances that require immediate attention.
With the Language Learning Director, take lead role in providing thorough on-boarding to new Learning Partners.
Regularly support the Language Learning Director in conducting academic staff meetings and delivering professional development sessions
Parent Care
Senior Learning Partners are responsible for the Parent Care program and play a critical role in enhancing the quality of parent care that the Learning Partners deliver.
Learning Partner Duties
Assist in the training of new Learning Partners and deliver on-going coaching to Learning Partners on how to deliver parent care – communication skills, conflict resolution, how to deal with special situations.
Monitor the parent care program, checking the parent care binder regularly, monitoring phone calls and conversations made by the Learning Partners.
Free up Learning Partners during class time to allow them to make parent phone calls if necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, majored in education preferred
Have at least 1 year experience working with children or 1 year relevant service industry or have successfully completed Disney English Learning Partner Internship
Very strong English and Standard Chinese language speaking and translation ability
Creativity and excitement to bring a unique personality to the Disney English classroom including talents in music, art, and performing arts.
Able to stand for extended periods of time, squat and bend. Frequent lifting of 0.4 – 1.9 K.G. or 1-5 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 15-19 K.G. or 40-50 pounds is required.
