Job Description
This is a hands-on upper level management position for a mid-sized MEMS manufacturing company with operations in the US and China. The successful candidate must have a “big picture” view of company operations with an overall understanding of total business operations to include manufacturing, production, purchasing, inventory, quality, engineering, logistics, sales, marketing, facilities and expansion plans and all other duties related to the business operations. In this position you will be responsible for insuring all facets of this business are integrated and operating in sync. This position requires the ability to communicate in a positive and proactive way, mentoring, coaching and inspiring the workforce and building a strong cohesive team, while maintaining cost controls and meeting company objectives. Position will be based in Wuxi, China with travel to the US 30%.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in formulating and leading execution of manufacturing operating strategies, sales and marketing plans, budgets and programs and work to effectively integrate all departments to support company objectives.
Evaluating, and improving the quality and productivity of people in the organization while driving processes to improve quality, service and manufacturing costs.
Direct and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.
Influence the manufacturing vendors and business partners internationally to work within quality guidelines and business procedures
Motivate the management team, retain and grow talent within the site.
Responsible for overseeing negotiations and contracts.
Ensure application of established financial controls within the facility by providing
operating management direction and support to the implementation and
maintenance of financial policies, instruction, and internal control procedures.
Operate in compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements
Responsibility for the site P&L and the drive towards world class manufacturing

Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a BS Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 15+ years of proven management experience.
Extensive business operations and electronics manufacturing knowledge preferable in MEMS with proven track record of success.
Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 9001 and related quality standards
Strong financial acumen particularly within profit and loss.
Previous general management experience within a manufacturing/ production business.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Business acumen to effectively represent company interest within and outside the organization
This position requires a strong hands on operations manager with an ability to coordinate a broad spectrum of management, professional disciplines
Must be able to travel frequently
Will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in US manufacturing operations
Must be bilingual Mandarin and English
There are numerous stake holders in the operation both within the business and outside which requires an understanding of each relationship and how to deal effectively with a wide range of people.
Must be fluent in Mandarin and English to include both reading and writing.
