QA Automation Engineer - Suse - Beijing

Job description

The SUSE Quality Assurance department plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality of SUSE products. This QA Automation Engineer position is a development role. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation tools and scripts as well as analyzing and debugging issues reported against test infrastructure, tools and test cases. You will work along with other QA engineers, product leaders and developers to fulfill these responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and document automation tools, features and test scripts
Execute automated tests and analyze and report the results
Create documentation
Handle and fix reported issues, where applicable
Provide detailed reports for assigned tasks

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience in software development/engineering
Good communication skills (English)
Strong dedication to Quality
Understanding of the open source development model
Deep and broad Linux knowledge
Good product knowledge (SUSE Linux Enterprise family and openSUSE)
Programming skills.
Proficient in one or more programming language (preferred C/C++)
Proficient in one or more scripting language (preferred PHP, Perl, Python, Bash)
Quick at learning and understanding new products and technologies
Ability to work effectively as part of a global team across time zones

Nice to have:

Web development experience
Experience working in agile team
Prior test automation or testing experience:
