Project Summary and Position Overview (A detailed description of the project and what the position entails must be included):
Opportunity to contribute in the new development works as part of strategic Thomson Reuters' products to deliver social networking and instant messaging services to global
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Discuss requirement with local customer representative (Product Manager), design, writing unit test, and code for small requirement (User Story).
- Code both individually and in pairs.
- Participate in work estimation with the team as part of iteration planning where iteration lasts for 1 or 2 weeks.
- Work closely with local QA to help verifying the User Story within the iteration.
- Contribute to team's improvements in process, roles & responsibility, and etc through team retrospective sessions.
Desired Skills & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry experience and associated number of years of experience:
- Excellent in C#, Java and OOP
- Experienced in writing unit test
- Experienced with using Design Patterns
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Self-learner
Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills), necessary industry experience and associated number of years of experience:
- Experienced in good software development practices e.g. Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, Use Case Analysis
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise software development
- Experienced in Microsoft Enterprise technology e.g. MS SQL Server, MS Office SharePoint Server, MS Office Communication Server.
- Knowledge in light-weight process (Agile) e.g. SCRUM or Extreme Programming
- Fluent in English
