Director - Marketing, Branding & Cross-site Promotion - Amazon - Beijing
Job description
We are now seeking a senior marketing leader to build an integrated strategy to increase consumer awareness of Amazon as a trusted destination for international products. This position offers an opportunity to making a huge impact on the success of Amazon in China, as well as gaining visibility with senior leadership in Seattle headquarter.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing an integrated marketing plan to build the Amazon brand in China, including monthly digital campaigns as well as theme based mass advertising. Tactical marketing activities include designing and managing Amazon’s annual marketing calendar with cross-site thematic promotion event and daily operations of Amazon deals program. You will also be developing market communication plan for customer engagement programs.
The ideal candidate will bring a sharp analytical mind, strong coordination ability, experienced people management skill, and can roll up his/her sleeves to get things done. He/she has to have customer orientated mindset and experienced in brand building and marketing communication. Key Responsibilities
· Develop an integrated marketing strategy to build the Amazon brand in China
· Establishes timelines and process for cross-site marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of promotional programs
Supervise activities of cross-site event and deals operations, including ROI tracking and traffic analysis.
Work with internal stakeholders to develop new marketing programs which appeal to customers and consistence with the brand vision, from concept through launch.
Work with in-house research team and analytics team to draw consumer insights and market trend. Formulate strategic plans based on findings.
Manage relationships with internal and external teams, creative agencies and vendors to develop integrated marketing communications materials.
Work with global teams on mass advertising planning and execution.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years in experience in marketing with at least 4 years in digital sector
5+ years team management experience
An experienced planner, strong in cross team project management
Data-driven analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing programs, and influence stakeholders with fact based recommendation.
Results driven, an ambitious self-starter
Attention to details. Appreciate the value of UX and visual design.
Excellent communication in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising or related field is preferred
Retail P&L management plus online marketing experience is preferred
Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations to persuade stakeholders
