We are seeking several Heads of Development Area in Nokia Mobile Phones Featurephone Product Development Beijing. You will work with some of the hottest mobile technologies on the market and join a highly motivated team to build mobile phone SW for the S40 SW products. You will lead your own area all the way from concepting into end products by innovating, concepting, developing and delivering software which creates experiences that consumers love. You will be a line manager for all people in the development area. Your key tasks and responsibilities will comprise:
- Ultimate accountability for all aspects of the performance and competence of the teams you manage
- Contributing as a champion for collaborative cross-functional Scrum teams
- Responsibility for technical competitiveness of the area, e.g. performance
- Providing capacity (HC and budget) to work according to agreed plans
- Providing planning input & commitment to S40/S30 product roadmap
- Working with the Scrum Master and team members to address issues and blockers specifically related to people and their performance
Desired Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate has strong experience in SW R&D management and a degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering or similar as well as 10+ years of relevant experience in the mobile phone business. We expect a recognized professional with the following attributes:
