Job Description
Key responsibilities include but not limited to –
You will work with the General Manager and Verizon Telematics U.S team to establish the Verizon Telematics Back Office infrastructure in China.
You will also work with all technical vendors to load the system in the China Data centers including the Data center hosting company, the telecom companies, the internet carriers and others as may be required.
You will closely work with the U.S Hardware and Network teams to ensure a consistent implementation of the Telematics architecture for the China market. Also, coordinate with U.S teams and manage all software development, testing and releases applicable to China market.
You will be responsible to manage the relationships with all vendors to maintain the system operations (24/7).
You will be responsible to manage all system documentation for implementation and operation of the architecture.
You will manage the client technical teams to support hardware and vehicle testing including scheduling, test plan development, resource scheduling, and actual test support.
You will be responsible to hire, train, and manage all technical staff including Engineers, Systems Analysts, Network Architects, and other in-country resources as required.
You will partner with the internal teams to identify, screen, select and hire supporting technical vendors as required including staffing companies, engineering support, and others as necessary.
You will manage and support the company technical infrastructure needs including technical equipment, LANs, helpdesk, laptops, and other needs as defined by the General Manager alongside of the office technology requirements including supporting the employee base.
You will be responsible to organize, manage, and supervise the managers of the other IT areas including the test team, development, network operations, mobile and web development teams, and other areas as defined for future company needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role –
You will have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
You will have strong knowledge and working experience with Network, Information Technology, and technical environments.
Your experience dealing with Vendors such as Data Center Hosting companies, Telecom companies, Internet Carriers, etc.., is a major plus
You will possess excellent IT skills including Network related, Hardware and Software management
You need to have strong Project management skills and interpretative skills
Your ability to complete vendor RFPs and analyze them based on business needs is an advantage
You will have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products/tools
Your experience in quantitative analysis and organizational skills with attention to details is required
You need to have the ability to work in a self-motivated, proactive and fast paced environment.
