Key Responsibilities

The China Business Director position is a career making opportunity for a self-motivated, strategically oriented entrepreneur looking to build a strong, competitive business in China's rapidly growing natural gas and hydrogen industry.

Responsibilities

The China Business Director is responsible for developing and implementing a program to enable the GP&H breakthrough strategies to substantially grow GP&H sales in China. The success of this program will depend on:


• development of an intrinsic understanding of customer needs versus wants,
• a full assessment of competitive technical and service offerings
• implementation of fit-for-purpose engineering designs and modular equipment solutions through local engineering, fabrication and installation partners.

The objective is for GP&H to be seen as bona fide East-for-East/China-for-China provider. To achieve this outcome, the China Business Director will work closely with various business, regional and functional teams.

The China Business Director will be responsible for the development and execution of the China STRAP and Annual Operating Plan. The Director will own the GP&H China P&L with a main focus on bookings and revenue at the early stage of growing the business. The China Business Director will work closely with the GP&H China sales team and the Global Sales Director to build a strong opportunity pipeline that converts to bookings.

The China Business Director must develop and maintain an effective management operating system (MOS) which aligns with GP&H's for delivering growth, productivity and people development. This position will be responsible for local extended GP&H team leadership (including engineering, service, sales) and for assembling a high performance regional team as the business grows.

The China Business Director will be part of the GP&H leadership team and will have interactions with UOP and PMT leadership. GP&H China Marketing will report to this position.

Basic Qualifications

Incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, per Honeywell standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Undergraduate degree (preferably in finance or an engineering or technical field)
• 10 years of commercial experience in a manufacturing environment
• Direct gas, refining, petrochemical and/or chemicals industry experience.
• A strong network within the Chinese Design Institutes and China oil and gas industries

Recommended Qualifications

• A Master of Business Administration degree is preferred
• Strong financial acumen.
• Very strong written and oral skills.
• Honed customer interface skills.

Travel Requirements

• It is expected that the candidate in this position may travel globally up to 30% of the time.
