Sr Product Manager - Symantec - Beijing

Job description
Identify the trends related to the jobs our customers hire us to solve in the China market.

Validate the observed trends with customers and partners in order to prioritize them, targeting the high-value unmet needs.

Translate market needs into targeted technology requirements where we can tailor and customize our offerings, demonstrating leadership and differentiation within and across the market with the “right-for-me” solutions.

Conduct technical and market research and competitive analysis by offerings, create Market Requirement Document (MRD)

Analyze, identify and qualify opportunities for new product features and functions in support of competitive product positioning

Educate other teams on technical features and benefits of product and define possible integration potentials

Qualifications
Experience as a product manager, technical product manager, sales engineer or consultant at Symantec technology segments is preferred.

Broad knowledge of the enterprise IT space and key trends with emphasis on one or two of the following areas: information management/appliances/information security/end user protection/Telco/Financial/SI/Government space.

Strategic and creative thinker with strong technical background who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling product plans and to communicate them clearly and compellingly.

Ability to translate strategic vision into deliverable milestone

Highly collaborative – be able to work successfully in cross-functional environments to achieve results

Ability to interact / communicate succinctly and effectively in both English and Mandarin

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a technical discipline

Ability to maintain good relationships with customer and field

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Highly motivated and independent contributor.The individual must have a “can do” attitude and should be able to roll up his/her sleeves and get things done
