Sandvik in Wuxiis seeking for
Production Engineer
Sandvik Mining, a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. In 2012 sales amounted to about 37,800 MSEK, with approximately 14,000 employees.
The position would directly report to the Engineering Manager, below pleaserefer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
Environment, Health and Safety:
Adhere to all Sandvik EHS policies and procedures
EHS thinking during design, process creation and so on.
Process development:
Process design and parts sourcing specification creation
Process BOM design
VSM (Value stream map) creation.
Inspection procedure creation.
Tool/gage/fixture/equipment concept design or selection
Build prototype and test based on updated design
CNC programming manually or CAM postprocessors
Automation thinking during process creation.
Production productivity improvement:
Measure and track the productivity improving based on the value design
Machining parameter improvement to reduce processing timing
Quick fixture set up to reduce exchange timing
Tools improvement to enhance productivity
Process sequence upgrade to reduce cycle time
Gauge upgrade to improve inspection timing
Lean manufacturing:
Process step timing measurement, value working elements ident. And optimization
Material flow & process map & TP c/t ident
Takt time clarification
Workstation split
Site organization system creation & set-up
Material flow system design w/ Kanban

Your profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related majors;
Above 3 years work experience in related fields;
Possess Specialty educational background or above in the field of engineering;
Excellent experience on mechanical machining, CNC machine program, automation and related;
Excellent experience on machining parameter design, cutting tool selection and fixture design;
Relevant engineering design and process experience in multinational company;
Able to use Autocad or UGS, Good command of office software and Notes;
Understand lean manufacturing system and can use it to set up lean mfg layout, material flow, site organization etc;
Fluent English, be able to read and write in English, communication with foreigner face-to-face or audio conference.
