Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
Detailed Description
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Job Requirements
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle is currently looking for an Operations Product Manager for the Oracle Cloud Operations team. This technical role will be primarily responsible for championing Cloud Operations requirements with Product Development across the Oracle Cloud Services portfolio. Additionally, this role will also work on effective documentation and communication of Cloud Operations service capabilities to internal stakeholders, external prospects, and customers. As Oracle is a global company, this role will require occasional travel.

This role will foster continual improvement of Oracle Cloud capabilities and practices, setting and maintaining high standards of capability and performance, and ensuring timely delivery with the greatest possible quality. A strong technical vision, coupled with a disciplined delivery mindset is necessary for success. Prior experience in product or service management, and matrixed team management is also required. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in a wide variety of areas including Cloud SaaS and PaaS, enterprise or commercial software development, mission critical technology operations, and global security and regulatory compliance practices.

Responsibilities:
Develop Oracle Cloud Operations service requirements required for achieving operational excellence across Oracle Cloud Operations teams.
Ensure that Cloud Operations service requirements are consistently understood, accepted, and prioritized across Oracle Cloud Service development teams.
Create and maintain the technical documentation of cloud capabilities for field and customer/prospect consumption, including technical data sheets, overview sales presentations, and security and operational Oracle Cloud Practices documentation.
Create and maintain Oracle Cloud Policies content and practice documentation.
Project ownership of initiatives supporting achieving and improving capabilities against Cloud Policies and Practices.
Evangelize key Oracle Cloud operating principles within product development design teams.
Effective influence across technical and business teams within Oracle.
Maintain industry leading knowledge in core areas of responsibility.
