High-Level Position Description:
This position of Preamp Program Manager (PM) supports three main business functions:
1. NPI (New Product Introduction) – This includes product plan definition and execution from design tape-out through the ramp to production of the preamp product. The PM will work directly with design managers, technical leads, marketing/sales, and cross-functional teams (validation, quality, reliability, test, etc.) to ensure consistent and high quality product planning and execution, status reporting and metrics.
2. Gross margin improvement, second sourcing and cycle time optimization – This consists of the identification, planning, and execution of cost savings, second sourcing and cycle time optimization initiatives aimed at improving product gross margins and enhancing the robustness of the product’s supply chain. It requires one to work closely with various internal teams, including strategic sourcing, engineering and manufacturing operations.
3. PMO (Program Management Office) process and infrastructure development – This includes the development and propagation of sound project/program management practices and/or methodologies, infrastructure to enable the PMO, and initiatives intended to drive continuous improvement.

Detailed Responsibilities
* Support design managers & product teams in defining baseline plan of record or POR (scope, schedule, resources/budget, quality, etc.) for the program
* Develop appropriate project plans & risk mitigation plans for product manufacturing/test, proto ship, new product introduction and ramp
* Coordinate and facilitate the set up of the program team in cooperation with other functional groups
* Drive product cost and second sourcing initiatives across multiple products, working with manufacturing organization
* Setup & moderate regular project review meetings, internal and with the customer across time zones
* Provide leadership role to cross-functional teams and manage internal and customer interactions
Desired Skills and Experience
- BSEE or equivalent, Masters preferred
- Significant program management experience, relating to semiconductor new product development, introduction and product ramp for large customers/OEMs with revenues in the high tens to hundreds of millions of dollars
- Experience in leading/program managing large, complex, mission-critical semiconductor programs involving cross-geographic, international teams in the U.S. and Asia
- Experience dealing with supply chain organizations & major semiconductor suppliers/vendors in Asia
- PMI Certification preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3 years job experience in a related discipline
