Amazon provides enterprises the opportunity to sell their goods on the Amazon platform worldwide; more than 2 million sellers use this Marketplace. Amazon is developing infrastructure aggressively to support this growth around the world.
In this context, Amazon’s Services team is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Global Expansion to manage and develop an organization focused on helping Chinese manufacturers, distributors, and retailers enter the global markets with Selling on Amazon and supporting products.

This is indeed a “General Manager” type of role – The Sr. Manager will lead a sizeable, complete business unit including various functions (New Business Consultant, Technical Integration, Account Management and Marketing), and need to meet aggressive quarterly growth target. We believe the opportunities are huge there but also full of ambiguity, thus in addition to sales/pipeline/people management, we are expecting this Sr. Manager can think big, have the ability to independently develop corresponding plan, process, actively align and communicate with business/finance teams in the US and Europe, as well as grow and build a scalable organization to fulfill business target.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a background in ecommerce or affiliated industries and a reputation for hiring and developing the best talent. S/he will have a track record of success at driving results, partnering cross functionally, and professionally representing clients’ needs/perspectives to the product organization. The candidate in this role will be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker with a history of driving process & product improvements. S/he will have a strong track record of supporting marketing initiatives, tactics, plans, processes, systems, and programs. S/he will be known for accurate forecasting, building strong relationships, and analytical leadership skills. S/he will thrive in a fast paced dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment and insist on the highest standards. The ideal candidate should have high potential and the ability to scale as a big leader to accompany the growth of the business.

Responsibilities:
Hire and develop a high caliber team. Manage team to support the execution of an aggressive Global Expansion plan.
Support a "go to market" plan by analyzing the competitive landscape and defining new products' value proposition.
Define new processes and find creative solutions to solve for some of the challenges of import/export between China and US/Europe.

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years sales and 4+ years sales management experience in a fast-paced multicultural environment
Strong people management experience, including proven ability to lead managers. Proven track record of building and developing a sizable team
Proven capacity of managing several functions
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) and ability to influence others internally and externally
Ability to interact at C-Level with medium-to-large Chinese and International companies.
Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
Ability to dive in the complex import/export process, and play a business consultant role to help China sellers to grow in the international market.
Willing to travel. Extensive domestic and international business travel are needed to be successful in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with supporting nascent products/services entry into new markets
Strong understanding of International trade, including export & import processes and requirements.
