JOB SUMMARY
This is one of the key leadership roles within the Corporate Relations (CR) organization and will lead to advance Visa’s business interests across North Asia markets through the deployment of effective internal and external communications. The role holder will also focus on developing and nurturing the capabilities and strength of the North Asia corporate relations team. He/she will actively contribute to the overall development of the global CR function and agenda.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the development and implementation of communications strategies in each North Asia market
* Ensure CR plays an active role in shaping the business agenda locally
* Ensure each country pursues a “constructive engagement” agenda locally, in line with global objectives
* Improve the reputation rating of Visa among critical audiences in each market
* Build and grow new external partnerships in line with our global CSR agenda
* Measurably raise awareness of the value of Visa and electronic payments among key constituents
* Build and implement product communications plans
* Manage CR team members and coach them to excellence

* The right candidate will have 10-15 years of experience, preferably both in-house and within agency.
* Proven track record across the communications mix, especially issue management, corporate communications and product communications.
* Thorough understanding of how to manage and run media campaigns and has a proven ability to pull together annual operating plans and budgets.
* China knowledge preferred as the immediate weighting in terms of job focus will be to tackle communications challenges in that market.
* Relationship-building is critical: must be able to demonstrate track record of influencing senior management with respect to agenda and budget.
* Demonstrate a relentless drive for results and have a highly ambitious mindset.
* Executive presence is key as is the ability to clearly articulate strategic objectives and match them to business plans, both in-market and across the North Asia region.
