Job Title: Compensation & Benefits Manager
Department: Human Resources Department
Reports To: Sr. Compensation & Benefits Manager, North Asia
Location: Shanghai, China
JOB SUMMARY:
Be responsible for Compensation & Benefits administration for Abbott China, and ensure the implementation of the policies and procedures to support business and comply with legal regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
l Lead on-site support team to be responsible for C&B programs implementation and administration: monthly compensation calculation and distribution, payroll report, individual tax, social insurance transaction. Ensure the accuracy data is timely submitted;
l Supervise on-site tem to update employee database and ensure that all C&B reports and records are properly and timely documented and maintained;
l Support on the annual internal payroll audit and external social benefit and tax audit. Maintain contacts with commercial counterparts and government authorities, and keep abreast of social, economic, regulatory and political trends that could impact the company's C&B strategy and policy.
l Be responsible in administering China-based expatriate compensation and benefits, in co-operation with the company’s tax advisors; and act as contact with administrators of expatriate international compensation and benefits payments/ administration;
l Provide manpower headcount related cost analysis to business as required.
l Assist Sr. C&B Manager in coordinating and implementing merit increase process, mid-year salary review, and benefits programs.
l Support BHR on the explanation and rolling out of related top-down HR projects and policies. Organize regular workshop for C&B teams in China, contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
l Ad-hoc projects assigned by manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum 5 years of broad HR experience that includes 3 years in compensation and/or benefits.
- Familiar with payroll and Human Resources system, strong knowledge about national and local labor law and policies, familiar with local social security administration.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent use of excel and statistical tools & databases.
- Strong analytical skills. Systematic and detail orientated.
- Ability to handle multitasks to meet deadlines under pressure; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication, confident, clear and concise.
- Integrity and ethics.
