Mobile Phones leads one of Nokia's key strategic goals: to build on our #1 position as the world's leading mobile phone maker through further innovation, a lower cost business model, and targeted services to our consumers. The Mobile Phones team oversees portfolio management, product planning, R&D and the dedicated software assets of Series 40 and Series 30.
Feature Phone Development, Products Beijing is one of the key product development entities of Mobile Phones. Program Management Team of Feature Phone Development, Products Beijing is responsible of all product programs management.
Key responsibilities:
As a Manager, JRD (Joint R&D) operations, you will be a member of the MP FPD Products Beijing Program Management team and be responsible for MP FPD Products Beijing JRD operations. You will also be working closely with the MP Operation Development Organization.
About JRD:JRD (Joint R&D) is one of MP product development methods. By outsourcing the product development activities to our strategic JRD partners, JRD partner's expertise and innovation can be introduced upfront. We can deliver more and better products to market without introducing more resources.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will comprise:
1) Keeping JRD operation smooth together with JRD PPMs and FPD internal organizations to ensure that also JRD program operations are running smoothly.
2) As R&D representative, jointly with other cross-functions assess and develop JRD partners
3) Work closely with MP Operation Development to optimize PD processes in order to cope with the constantly changing market environment and new product requirements
4) Contributing to future MP JRD strategy development
Desired Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate has strong experience in project management and minimum a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree is preferred).
We expect a recognized professional with 5+ years of experience in mobile phone product development. Furthermore we expect:
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Proven track record in project management; project management experience preferred
