Job Description
The retail director will be instrumental in starting and managing the business by directing and managing every function of the company. This role has a strong operation aspect to it, and will be responsible for implementing the company operational procedures, policies and standards in place.
Reporting to the Global Business Director, the role will cover:
- Responsible for Business Development. From finding the right location to establish a shop or concession, negotiations terms, opening the store, operating and driving the business forward in greater China region.
- Sales Forecasting and achievement of targets.
- P &L, Human Resources, Company Administration, Finance and Logistics as well as Marketing & Communication
- The Retail Director will lead by example and build a strong team and relationship. Manage the manpower effectively and to ensure high service standard and high team spirit among staff.
Desired Skills & Experience
The Successful Applicant
- At least 10 years relevant work experience, candidates from fashion, sports, household goods industries (e.g. kitchenware, tabletop etc) who have similar sales channel and strategies would be preferred
- Management experience of at least 5 years, bachelor degree or above and MUST speak Mandarin and English
- Excellent strategic thinking and business development skills, with excellent knowledge of the China market and connections with high end department stores/malls.
- Great communication and presentation skills with good understanding of the differences between Chinese and European companies.
- Sales focused and possessing excellent interpersonal skills that can build and lead a team to success
