ROB Business Engagement Manager -


Cisco seeks a ROB Business Engagement Manager in the APAC Geographic Region that reports directly into Cisco's LDSG ROB Director with dotted-line to the WW ROB BE LDSG Lead.

Summary of Role

Support APAC regional business clients in the development and implementation of a regional Learning & Development strategy (VSE + L&D Playbook); Partner with and influence Cisco regional management to ensure appropriate linkage and alignment between regional learning strategy and functional and local business objectives. Align regional learning strategy with overall LDSG learning strategy and actively advocate the adoption of the LDSG Framework within the theater.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Stakeholder Focus
• Act as a partner and trusted advisor to key regional business stakeholders consulting on the local human capital strategy (incl. financial planning) as part of the strategic business planning process.
• Translate regional strategic business objectives into human capital requirements (utilizing the ROB L&D framework) and metrics balancing short and long term priorities (3 horizons).
• Identify and prioritize organizational gaps (resources/knowledge/skills) and the respective target audiences.
• Transform regional human capital strategy and gap analysis into regional L&D VSE / Playbook (objectives, target audiences, metrics, high level learning subjects, learning outcomes, timelines, delivery modalities). Gather feedback from business stakeholders.
• Gather agreement on aligned regional L&D VSE / Playbook and Development / Delivery Plan / Financial and Funding model from business stakeholder (Regional ROB Lead, Connected Operations Team, Country VP/GMs).
• Program manage the execution of the Development / Delivery Plan and report to business stakeholder on a regular basis (e.g. learning council / management meetings / all hands)
• Drive business stakeholder engagement in L&D communications and delivery.
• Link L&D metrics to Business KPI's (driver tree) and agree with business stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing / summarized reporting of L&D business impact and business engagement results to business stakeholders.
• Actively advocate the value of the LDSG Framework and work with the business stakeholders to increase its adoption, thereby driving a consistent approach across Cisco

Extended Team Focus (NOT people manager)
• Participate in joint ROB regional planning with regional ROB peers and ROB Lead.
• Identify and engage with corporate LDSG and extended ROB Stakeholders.
• Share gap analysis and regional L&D VSE / Playbook with regional ROB peers and ROB Lead.
• Identify and exploit new opportunities at regional level for ROB LDSG (= act as ROB LDSG BDM)
• Align regional L&D playbook with regional ROB peers and ROB Lead, L&D processes & frameworks (LDSG L&D framework, LDSG, HR, global LDSG initiatives, global LDSG Curricula, other L&D providers).
• Align with LDSG LS on the design and execution of the Development / Delivery Plan.
• Align with global LDSG Metrics team to ensure consistency of approaches.
• Work collaboratively with regional ROB peers and ROB Lead to improve and maintain standardized ROB Processes, ROB Metrics, ensure alignment with overall LDSG Strategies. Develop and socialize a Governance and Planning and Execution Process to identify, prioritize and execute on annual and quarterly Enablement Requirements.

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, an individual must have demonstrated the ability to build and manage a Learning&Development-related business function, and to influence, inspire and motivate others at all levels in the organization.


Education and/or Experience
BS/BA degree or equivalent and 5+ years experience in learning & development and/or organization development, 3 years should be at a management level, and programme management.
