Director - Vertical Strategic Marketing - Honeywell - Shanghai

Job description
We are looking for an accomplished leader to help to build up vertical marketing team and lead the team to achieve aggressive short term and long term business growth. The position reports to the Marketing VP, G. China and will be based in Shanghai, China.


Responsibilities

Lead vertical marketing long term strategy
Define and fine-tune strategy and strategic options of the vertical in order to strengthen the overall business portfolio.
Develop/adapt value propositions to defined industry/customers
Develop relationships with SBU VP/GMs and address issues related to offerings, competitiveness, strategy
Own vertical market product portfolio management
Manage and develop team of Vertical Marketing Leaders to ensure execution of key initiatives
Support BD/sales in pursuit of major/ pivotal sales
? Identify and evaluate new vertical markets and new or cross SBU business opportunities


Experience And Qualities

The successful candidate will have 6 years of experience post-business school with a leading strategy consulting firm, or equivalent experience in a corporate strategy function with a multinational firm.
Industry experience in manufacturing, industrial and/or resources, as is substantial quantitative and/or engineering background.
An ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and define business questions and issues, and to develop strategic/analytical frameworks to conduct analysis. He/she will have experience developing and designing implementation plans to drive execution.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, assertive, energetic, and possess engaging executive presence and strong communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills, to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
English and Mandarin fluency is required. This candidate will have an in-depth understanding of western business practices/ organizational dynamics and Chinese business practices, culture, societal dynamics. Experience working with government entities and companies is strongly preferred.

Educational Background

A Masters in Business Administration from a top-tier school or top-tier consulting firm experience is preferred. Engineering background is preferred but not required.
