Job description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops long-range plans and creates specific strategies to achieve goals. Responsible for establishing objectives for product and/or project groups and manages these groups to ensure that goals are met within specified timeframe and products/projects meet quality standards.
Participates in and is accountable for cross functional initiatives and collaboration, which may have significant impact on business results.
Participates in corporate strategy development through advocacy for programs and projects within their functional area.

Uses independent judgment to develop strategic vision within functional area. Implements operational policies and directives and communicates progress toward goals and objectives.
Anticipates future business needs, makes decisions and implements policies that affect areas of the company outside their own functional area.
Provides innovative solutions to unusually complex and sensitive problems. Requires ingenuity and creativity.
Serves as a technical consultant and technical leader; sphere of influence may include people outside of EMC.
Communicates progress toward career development and goals.
May have budgetary responsibility.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

BS level technical degree required; Computer Science background preferred.
At least 14 years’ IT working experience and at least 7 years’ experience in managerial role in multi-national company
Proven experience in leading software R&D team
Fluent oral and written English communication
