Position Description

Job Summary ( Purpose of Job ) :

· Manages all Test Engineers within the JTC site.

· Manages all Test Engineers work for both Projects, PM, internal & external

· Manages all Test Engineers work due to VCE strategy and goals.

· Drive and support global TnPO synergies & efficiencies.

· Support TnPO Field testing and RG testing with adequate personnel.

· Hire, train and build up competence on Test Engineers for Wheel Loader, Excavator, Compactors and c omponent testing .

· Manages TnPO resources supporting all relevant HW Test ing .

· Collaborates with all other TnPO Managers where necessary .

· Manages daily tasks for Test Engineers ; for both Projects, PM, internal & external

· Manage personnel accordingly to PBP (or similar)

Roles of Job

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities :

· Responsible for all Test Engineer resources within JTC site.

· Fully collaborates with TnPO Manager s in JTC and other Volvo CE sites.

· Follow the TnPO strategy for JTC site.

· Support improvement strategies & provides suitable resources to implement these efficiencies (VPS, QDC, 5S, etc)

· Develop TnPO resources, thus providing suitable training/mentorship where applicable.

· Follow budget outlined by the Director of TnPO JTC .

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position :

· BSc or equivalent within Engineering area or similar.

· 3-5 years of experience managing a Testing Dept.

· A working knowledge of quality & efficiency improvement tools such as VPS, QDC, 5S

Additional Important Requirements (e.g. language, mobility):

· Comfortable in English both written and oral.

· Some travelling may be required.
