Director - Online Store - Apple - Shanghai


Job description

Apple is seeking a Director to manage and grow the Online Store team in Greater China. The Greater China Online Store Director will develop and implement plans with a number of cross-functional organizations that support the business, including Digital Marketing, Merchandising, Sales & Service, Product Management, Operations, Stores and Finance.

Develop a deep understanding of the region/countries and Online Store business through analysis, research and fact-finding with other Apple regional employees, then identify risks and opportunities
Design and oversee region, country and, in some cases, city-specific strategies and business plans for the Online Store. Work with key partners to grow and implement the plans
Provide strategic input and contribute to the development and local execution of multi-region and global programs and initiatives being driven from Cupertino
Manage regional P&L and Customer Experience results. Partner with Finance and Analytics to set and measure against financial targets
Own and drive local programs, such as local partnerships, financing, trade-in, forward deploy, regional education programs and carrier programs
Oversee and appropriately allocate the budget for all Demand Generation activities in the region
Be the business lead for the strategy, development and management of regional programs that are led from Cupertino in partnership with Product Management, Operations, Finance and other teams
Influence the local visual merchandising plan, ensuring that visual merchandising includes Online Store unique and leading value propositions
Represent and champion the Online Store to other parts of Apple in the region and collaborate to achieve the best result for Apple
Foster collaboration and manage team building across the organization, help build and maintain a sense of Retail community in the region

Education Details
Fluency in English and Mandarin preferred
BA/BS required, MBA preferred

Key Qualifications

10 plus years relevant experience in a multi-national organization, with a minimum of 5 years experience in online commerce
Demonstrated expertise in online merchandising, marketing, category, product and general management
Proven success in establishing rapport, credibility and influence to drive results across a rapidly moving cross-functional organization
The ability to inspire and lead both a team and individuals
