POSITION SUMMARY
The Products organization drives consumer product and commercial product innovation and development for Visa in China. The group identifies, prioritizes and builds alliances and solutions for new products, platforms and market segment penetration. The team focuses on product/service strategy, market development, product innovation and development, product deployment, enhancements management and strategic alliances.


The Director of Products plans and implements product development, product platform customization and premium events for clients in China. The role partners with client product organizations to enhance and/or launch products; develops and implements core and customized product features; manages selected vendor and merchant partner relationships, and works with Visa internal stakeholders on product development and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and implement core product platform features and product platform customizations, merchant offers and premium events for clients – including building business case on investment and returns

• Manage and coordinate vendors and merchant partners to deliver product platform features on-time and on-budget

• Build strong working relationships with clients and ensure a high level of satisfaction with product platform and project implementation

• Track cardholder utilization and results of products/programs and provide reporting on a regular basis

• Identify supporting research needs and implement product or consumer segment research projects, in conjunction with Marketing and Hub Products

• Collaborate with other Visa internal stakeholders including Business Development, Acceptance, Hub Products, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Compliance, Legal and Finance

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL



• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• 10 years of experience in payments, financial services or management consulting

• Demonstrated track record of implementing business strategies and leading implementation that delivers measurable business results

• Experience negotiating and managing vendor agreements and relationships

• Direct merchant co-brand, product development and P&L management experience preferred

TECHNICAL

• MS Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

• Knowledge of consumer payments

• Experience with rewards/loyalty systems preferred

• Familiarity with Visa systems and processes preferred

BUSINESS

• Self-starter, able to work independently and juggle multiple priorities

• Analytical and strategic thinker – able to identify practical business solutions

• Strong project management and prioritization skills

• Good interpersonal and communications skills

• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
