Job Description
Scope of Position:
As a member of China finance team, this position will provide analytical and Commercial Finance support for China leadership team. The analytical support will include providing analysis reporting to the Commercial and leadership team in China so to enable them to make sound business decisions and better develop and execute long term strategies. Areas of analysis and commercial finance include depletions, rebate/discount computation and analysis, variable A&P and brand A&P analysis; maintains price structure (value chain analysis) for key SKUs, distributor/customer’s profitability analysis, assist Finance Director, China in resource allocation, annual planning, budget preparation and variance analysis and quarterly projection roll-ups. In addition, the position will be called on to assist to China Finance Director in ad hoc strategic projects for China Leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of annual plans, budget and quarterly projections including rolling up area forecasts and analyzing and identifying key variances and business drivers.
- Review, analysis and follow up of distributor/customers performance and performance management preparation and analyses.
- Preparation and analysis on flash depletions reports, including by brand by pack variance analysis.
- Business Performance analysis e.g. monthly reporting to Asia Pacific team and monthly analysis of results including variance analysis for actionable follow up.
- Provide analytical support to ad hoc analysis as required by China Finance Director and Leadership team.
- Provide analysis of brand performance, effectiveness A&P spending and analytics to support revenue growth and development of brand strategies.
- Customer incentive (discount) computation and reconciliation, and the review of data integrity with proper process and documentation.
- Prepare new SKU/Package profitability analysis and updating existing SKUs price structure periodically.
- Assist to Finance Director, China on key business process continues improvement and re-engineering program
Desired Skills & Experience
Must Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or CPA plus 5 years of relevant business experience with multi-national company, Financial Planning and Analysis experience is necessary.
- Solid analytical and planning skills, hands on, strong finance and business knowledge with FMCG
- Ability to think conceptually, critical and strategically, forward looking.
- Superior oral and written communications skills including fluency in the English language
- Demonstrated ability to make suggestions and recommendations based on logical assumptions and factual information.
- Experience with PC and mainframe computer applications in accounting, budgeting techniques; experience in working with SAP is preferable.
- Ability to work independently and through peers
- Proactive thinker who gets things done using initiative, practical thinking and attention to details and is able to establish the analysis module from zero bases.
